Dr. Savanna Gephard—affectionately known as Dr. G—is a dedicated veterinarian who brings passion, expertise, and a love of emergency medicine to every patient she treats.
Originally from the United States, Dr. G earned her doctorate from the University of Illinois in 2021. During veterinary school, she simultaneously pursued her master’s degree from the University of Florida with a specialized focus on Veterinary Forensics. Her journey in veterinary medicine began as an emergency room veterinary technician, giving her invaluable hands-on experience before becoming a doctor.
Since graduation, Dr. G has devoted her career almost exclusively to Emergency and Critical Care. She completed two intensive mentorships—one at a Level 2 trauma center in Indiana and another at Veterinary Emergency Group in Boston—before serving as Lead DVM at an urgent care facility in Massachusetts. Her special interests include mentoring new graduates, performing emergency surgeries (with c-sections being her absolute favorite!), and implementing Spectrum of Care principles. She is Fear Free, RECOVER, and Cat Friendly certified.
In January 2026, Dr. Gephard made the move to New Brunswick with her five feline companions: Hans, S’mores, Milo, Lemon, and Annabelle. Don’t be surprised if you spot one of them at the clinic—they’re always getting into some sort of mischief and mayhem!
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. G enjoys crocheting, speed-reading the latest romantasy novels, and exploring New Brunswick with her partner, Adam, in her hard-to-miss hot pink Jeep.
